In my 16 years of Human Resources, I’ve discovered that people are vital for success. Through this edification, I’ve built my business on the premise that PEOPLE are indeed OUR GREATEST ASSET.

As a University of Texas graduate, I have an appreciation for how education has shaped my perspective in the workplace. Treating people like people, never forgetting the human element, and delivering great experiences have all been fundamental to my own successes. I lead with the belief that people are valuable, and when given the right resources, tools, and opportunities – they show us just how incalculable they are.

Transitioning from humble beginnings, my most principal goal, prior to HR, was to retire as a state employee. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but there was another layer – to me. I yearned for more meaningful connections with people beyond organizational processes. I desired something challenging for myself and those I had the privilege to lead. I yearned to be EMPOWERED.

Empowerment, in essence, means allowing people greater control over their workplace behaviors, while fostering an environment that encourages them to achieve goals and make better decisions. When effectively implemented, employees thrive, gaining confidence as they evolve into leaders within their companies. The resulting synergy is undeniably positive, contributing to success on both fronts.

In my current role, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that empowerment can have on a business. By recognizing that people are the driving force behind its success, businesses can tap into endless wells of potential. As a champion for the people and their development, I am committed to fostering an environment where employees are valued, their voices are heard, and their contributions are celebrated.
